Ahu Ductable

An Air Handling Unit (AHU) is central to healthy indoor air quality in hospitals, labs, and cleanrooms. It draws in outdoor air, filters it through staged media, conditions it by cooling or heating, controls humidity as required, and supplies clean air to occupied spaces while discharging stale exhaust air. When outdoor conditions or air quality make full fresh air unnecessary, the mixing chamber recirculates a safe portion of return air to reduce energy use without compromising ventilation. Modulating dampers in the mixing section balance outside, return, and exhaust air to maintain target airflow, pressure, and temperature. With proper filtration, regular maintenance, and controls, an AHU supports infection control, occupant comfort, and long term energy efficiency.

Key Points on Air Handing Unit

  • Air Distribution Circulates and conditions air for HVAC systems.
  • Filtration Removes dust, microbes, and contaminants.
  • Temperature Control Heats or cools air as needed.
  • Humidity Control Maintains optimal moisture levels.
  • Energy Efficiency Can include heat recovery systems.
  • Customizable Designed per room/zone requirements.
  • Applications Used in hospitals, industries, cleanrooms, and commercial spaces.
